Team Leadership

In 2016, I started leading a small and loosely defined UX team at Target’s Innovation Lab in San Francisco. I quickly grew the team into a full UX discipline with both generalist and specialized designers and researchers. A number of activities were done to help connect the team on various personal and professional levels as well as define and clarify how good UX work should be done on our unique team.

Once the team started growing, I initiated an exercise for us to develop our goals and team values, and identify our ideal work culture. All images were designed collaboratively by the team.
